Rachel Klewicki joins the cast of "When We Sleep"

Rachel Klewicki is set to join the cast as a lead actor in the film titled "When We Sleep". This feature-length film will be shot in and around the Kansas City area throughout 2026. "When We Sleep" is produced by Cintrellium (cintrellium.com) and is written and directed by Nathaniel Thomas.

"When We Sleep" is the story of a woman (Minny) who is taken into the shadows by a growing dark force. Her husband and friends, struggling to cope with their loss, must each make a choice that will affect her destiny and their own.

Rachel Klewicki is a 2nd-generation Meisner actress, writer, and sometimes-director originally from Los Angeles, California. Since moving to Kansas City in 2020, she has acted in films and commercials in LA, Tulsa, and Salt Lake City in addition to KC - with upcoming roles in feature films Rise and Shine alongside Daytime-Emmy-winner Rachel Bay Jones, as well as Nexus from Septimius Award Nominee David Kirkman. In 2025 she was also an official Nominee for Best Local Actor in The Pitch KC. Rachel is best known for playing epileptic athlete Kelly in Running by L. Tanner Smith as well as bereaved wife Amanda Newman in Tilted Light Productions’ Wicked Deeds series. Rachel’s work focuses on grounded emotional content flavored by interpersonal relationships and, when the opportunity presents itself, a touch of dark or sarcastic humor.

Rachel will play Claire, Minny’s best friend and Shane’s husband, is sharp as a tack, but tends to have on horse-blinders if she’s not getting what she needs. She has no time for anybody’s b.s. or nonsense. She seeks reason and logical answers above all else, but if continually challenged and when convinced to look past the realm of what’s satisfactory, she can find herself exploring new territory. She is convinced that Max had something to do with Minny’s disappearance. She works to ground Shane in that reality, and desperately misses her friend.
